Download Email Button

The Download email button makes it easy to save or open emails linked to an enquiry directly from our system.

Why use the Download button

Sometimes you need to:

  • Save an email to your computer
  • Open it in an external email client
  • Upload it to SharePoint or another system

How it works

  1. Open the enquiry containing the email you want to download
  2. Click the Download Email button in the message view panel
  3. The email will download as a .eml file, which you can:
    • Open in any standard email client
    • Save to a folder or upload to SharePoint

Who can use it

Not every user will see the Download button. It is only visible to users who have the Download Message permission.

If you do not see the button, you likely do not have the required permission.

Things to keep in mind

  • The downloaded .eml file preserves the original email content, headers, and attachments
  • Downloads should work in all supported browsers. It is a good idea to check your browser’s default download folder
  • If multiple emails exist in an enquiry, each email has its own Download button
